Day at the farm

Hunter loves playing at the Hayes family farm. Fishing and running around. What can be better?

Play Day

For some reason this Saturday I had an impulsive itch to take Hunter to Chuck E Cheese. It was awesome to see Hunter have a blast.

Had to have a horse race.
We played air hockey which Hunter was just blown away by the floating puck. Hunter loved whacking moles even if he would get himself all tangled up. ten bucks worth of coins lasted us over two hours. I will have to keep this in mind next time we have a rainy Saturday.

After Chuck E Cheese and a lil "ow" chasing we took Hunter to his first movie How to Train a Dragon. Watching Hunter was a blast. Everything was a wow! or a look mommie look daddie. I wish I could have videoed him. When the movie was done Hunter was mesmerized he wanted to stay and watch all of the credits. We are definitely buying that movie on DVD when it comes out.

Easter Sunday!

I love the Holiday's. I know they are a lot of work to go by so quickly. I think it is worth it though! I grew up with the Easter tradition of getting a new Easter outfit and dressing up snazzy, so of course I had to make my lil man look snazzy. I love lil boy suits. Hunter actually liked his suit. He loves to look good and loves any extra attention he can get. Course his shoes are lil punk shoes with skulls and stuff on the side and blue laces. I was not paying 25 dollars for a pair of black shoes he would wear once!

The Cox family met us at church and showered Hunter with the sweetest Easter stuff. They gave him a whole gardening set gloves and all with four packs of sunflower seeds to plant in his Granny Di's memory. It was the perfect gift especially Hunter loves to play in the garden/mud and Easter was the last holiday we got to spend with Granny Di.

We of course had the obligatory Easter pix before we changed into more comfortable attire. Can you tell it was a bit windy that day?

A new tradition that I am starting is making Hunter find his Easter Basket before Easter dinner. I used one of those annoying talking Eggs. He loved it. His Easter basket that he gets his goodies in was made by his Papa Bear and painted by his Granny Di. I think it is adorable.

Since I work nights we struggled this year with scheduling decorating eggs, so we did it while the food was baking. Luckily Hunter thought it was a great addition to the day and didn't notice the difference. That shouldn't be a problem next year since I am going to days on the 12th!!!!

Here is a pix of Hunter waiting oh so patiently for dinner. lol. By the way I love the eating part of holidays. I am so glad we have leftovers too yummm!

After gorging ourselves with food. We stuck Hunter in his new swimsuit and off to find the surprises the Easter Bunny left us. Note to the Easter Bunny no chocolate candy for outside next year and instead of 50% toys how about 90% toys. It doesn't take much to sugar up this boy!

I hope everyone had a great Easter like we did!

Friends University Easter Bash

Our yearly tradition is to go to the Friends University (my Alma Mater) Easter Egg Hunt and Carnival the Saturday before Easter. They do a great Job putting together a Fun and memorable event.
I also love the bunny ears the give the kids every year. Hunter loved the ears so much when we were at target later that day and they blew away I had to chase them with Hunter on my hip screaming like he broke his arm all the way to World Market. Yes I am an indulgent mother. : )

This year Wade and Whitney West came with us. Hunter can't get enough of them he loves them so much. Forgetful me didn't get a single pix with them. I was too focused on the cute bunny Ears. Hunter also loves the Friend's Mascot Freddy. I think he would have followed Freddy around all day if I would have let him.

Hunter definitely got the Easter concept down this year. It made it so much fun. As soon as they said go he started running around like a maniac and then he realized oh am missing all the candy. He dumped his Easter basket twice just cause he was so excited.

Across the way Hunter noticed a kid with a Thomas Easter basket, so Hunter ran over there and put several pieces of candy in his basket.

Afterwards we headed over to the Easter Carnival which had several blow up toys and carnival games. Hunter played in the bouncer for a good while and then tried to camp out at the duck station. The boy is a water magnet I tell you!

Then we took an hour break at the drink station. Okay so I am exaggerating a bit it was only 15 minutes, but seriously I have never seen a kid be so into beverages that he forgoes all other activities.

My one requirement for the Carnival is that Hunter gets his picture taken with the Easter Bunny. He was not a big fan this year. My mistake I sat him on the bunny's lap then turned away to set down my purse and grab my camera. The poor kid thought I was deserting him. This is the pre-cry picture. After that all huge tears. Took him off the Bunny's lap and he was ready to go. lol

Come Here

Hunter was throwing a fit the other day, so I pretended to through one myself just for humor. Hunter stopped whining, walked up to me and said "Come here, hug." Then he hugged me and patted my head and said, "you are fine". Hmmm. Man it is weird and cute how he mirrors me so much. What a sweet kid!

Silver lining.

A benefit of Anton being laid off is him getting to spend more time with us like going to the zoo!
I asked Hunter to take a picture with the lion. He was more than happy to oblige, but he wouldn't smile at the camera. That goofball.

Bears are Hunter's new favorite exhibit. We spent almost 30min there and we still had to take him kicking and screaming to leave.

Happy St Paddy's Day!

Hey Better late then never right.
I couldn't get the dude to smile for a picture, because he was too entranced by the ring pop that the leprechauns left him in his shoe. Hunter didn't find the pot of gold this year, but they left him quite a bit of goodies. : )
