Happy Father's Day!

My wonderful Husband I hope you know how proud of you I am. Your ability to love seems to grow every day and your son follows you all the way!

Wheels

I love garage Sales! Hunter got a new set of wheels for four dollars. It isn't anywhere being close to new, but Hunter acted like it was the greatest thing ever.
He loved honking the horn and then stopping every five feet to open and shut the door.

Hope You Love it Daddie!

Hunter made these. I just helped: ) It might look simple but getting a 17 month old to do that much stuff..... let's just say it took us a week.
The pictures in the collage frame were all finger(and toe) painted by Hunter and I cricuted Hunter's words of love.

The frame Hunter painted isn't done yet. It still needs varnished and a pix. I just didn't feel comfortable varnishing while I was taking care of Hunter by myself.
Anton I Hope you love your Father's day! You deserve it.

No Name Cat

Hunter's Papa Bear got a new kitty. They love each other. I have no clue why the cat loves Hunter so much cause Hunter just abuses the thing. We were planning on letting Hunter name the cat, but so far Hunter has come up with uh-oh or meow. Hmm. I guess we will see.

No Hunter it is Sheep.

I have been working with Hunter on animal names and sounds. He is actually pretty good at it. Whenever he sees a dog he barks at it and if he hears a cat he walks around meowing at it while chasing the thing hopping the cat will let him pick it up by the tail. Yes we are working on that. : )He also has these baby Einstein animal books from his Aunt Terra that he loves. When he turns the page he makes the sound of the animal. (of course not the rabbit page he looks at it confused. I don't know what noise rabbits make so I go ehh that's all folks)

Hunter was carrying around his fisher price sheep and so I asked him to say sheep. He must have misunderstood me cause a four letter S word came out instead. I said no Sheep. Even more clearly he said his four letter S word. I literally went and got Q-tips and cleaned out his ears and tried again. Apparently ear wax wasn't the problem and Hunter was looking at me perplexed wondering why I wasn't cheering him on for his new learned word. (Yes typically I am super cheesy excited for him about every little thing.) I decided that sheep was a better word to learn in a month or two and I just pray that they don't have sheep in Nursery at church or the elders might be taking me aside wondering what I am teaching my 16 month old!

PS look at Hunter's shirt. Isn't that tool belt adorable?!

Babies can't talk

The other day while Hunter and I were in the store, Hunter emphatically waved at a little girl and said Hi. She looked right at me and said "babies can't talk!" with a confused look on her face. I explained that he was a toddler and could say more than twenty words. "Really can I help teach him some more words?"
Hunter had a ball with her.

Don't mess with Momma

I have learned exactly how protective my lil Hunter is of his momma. Hunter was playing with some toys in our room and Tony and I were rough housing. Just jokingly Tony pushed me off the bed. Hunter stood up, was beet red, and started screaming. Tony tried to pick Hunter up to console him, but Hunter emphatically pushed him away and came running to me. I picked him up and he gave me a tight hug, would turn and give Tony the dirtiest look and then would hug me again. It was almost twenty minutes before Hunter forgave Tony and would let Tony touch him or talk to him.

Further updates beyond Hunter adding banana to his repertoire of words Hunter had yet another opportunity to play on bouncers. What a lucky kid. Our church had an outdoor devotional and play event this past Wednesday. What a great idea to get people to come check us out and fellowship. The neighbor kids came and his friend from day care came. Hunter was sure excited. Course there were a lot more kids there than there were at his friends party, so he would want in the bouncer and out over and over. Hey I guess he has the prerogative to change his mind.

One embarrassing story on my part. The neighbor girl needed to go to the bathroom, so I took her into the building to show her where the restrooms were. Well I couldn't find the light switches, so I accidentally said here you go and opened the door to the cleaning closest. Poor girl was a little confused at first and then she laughed so hard and said make sure you tell my mommie this story. Great great... we couldn't just keep it a secret could we.

Today we got to go to our first Church play group. On my previous schedule I was always unable to go. I guess working nights has a benefit. You can make any day activity as long as you are willing to put up with the sleep deprivation. Hey my kid is worth it. I want him to be able to have as much of the benefits as kids do with stay at home moms as possible. (I would love to be a stay at home mom and we are working towards it.)However,my house is taking a back seat cause I can't do it all and I am picking spending time with my kid of doing windows! Anyways... wow that was a tangent... The park we went to was beautiful. It is definitely a redo. Course after Hunter got his bearings he headed right for one of the slides and he camped out there until he needed a swing break. : )

Oh yes I almost forgot that his papa bear taught Hunter how to throw dirt clods today! Great! lol
All in all I had a great couple of days with Hunter even if Tony got a couple of dirty looks. : ) Hey don't mess with momma.

Baby Model

I love taking pictures. I may not be good at it yet, but I am sure practicing to get there. Hunter has grown up with a flash around him constantly. I am glad I have trained him well, cause for the most part he tolerates the flash rather well. Frequently when there is a camera he hams for it.

He is definitely my favorite to snap photos of him. He is changing everyday and into something new or doing something different everyday. (I love taking pictures of Anton, but he has to be in the mood for it.) Hunter tolerates it so well he makes the perfect baby model. : )

Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass...

It is about learning to dance in the rain.
Well it has been pouring in our parts but so much good has happened that I do not want to forget just because of the down pour.

Hunter sure loves his slides. The little thrill seeker sure keeps me on my toes!
Hunter loves his swing. He practically begs to be able to get in his swing. I think he would swing all day if he could get someone to push him that long. His face lights up as you push him and he says Weeee! No ones weee has given my heart so much joy before.
Now when Hunter is not outside he sure seems he wishes he was. He is always finding windows to see what he is missing out on while he is inside. My baby has a tan! He is really outside that much. What is sad is his fore arms are almost as dark as mine and he is wearing 50spf! I really do not think we will ever have to worry about Hunter being a couch potato!
Hunter was also invited to his friends birthday party. It was a brother and sister who were having their party together. It was the most well planned birthday party I have been to! They had tickets to hand in at the door, when you arrived you got a list of the activities, there was a popcorn machine, a bouncer, and most importantly to Hunter a duck pond. He saw that first thing when he walked into the party and pretty much camped out there. I should have just put him in a swimming suit cause he was soaked. At least he was cool. Him and his birthday buddy would splash and laugh at each other. They were just so tickled with themselves. I was able to finally pry him from the duck pond and put him in the bouncer. At first he wasn't sure what to make of it and then he thought it was the best thing ever.
It is now strawberry season. Hunter sure loves helping pick strawberries. Course I think 2/3rds of what we pick never make it passed Hunter's stomach. I had to start hiding my bucket cause it would keep ending up empty.

Climbing ladders is the new skill that Hunter is currently developing. I must say I am really not that excited.

Can't forget that Anton and I had our 4th anniversary and have been together over 6 years. I am so lucky to have a man like him. In our short time together we have sure had some roller coasters and have learned how to hold on to each other during the ride. There is no one I would rather ride with

Now as I mentioned before Hunter has loved the bouncer at his friends birthday party. This is completely his own doing. He pushes all of his stuffed animals off of his bench, climbs on his bench, and then leaps. Then he rolls around on his stuffed animals and wrestles them. He then makes sure that they are in a good pile and climbs on his bench again for another jump. I probably shouldn't let him do it, but I was so amazed while watching his planned out thought processes and innovation for a 16 month old I just grabbed my camera instead.

After a while I did convince Hunter that his animals needed a rest and we went outside to make sure the neighbors yard was well watered. : )

Missing Her

I know that it has been a while since I have posted. For those who may not know Granny Di went to heaven on the 12th of May. We are just missing her and trying not to expect her to walk in the room any minute.
