30 December 2008

The past couple days that I had off from work I have been taking my time playing with Hunter, cleaning up the destruction on my house that occurred from Christmas, and getting ready for Birthdays. In all of this Hunter thought it would be fun to dig a hole to China in on of my potted plants. When I told him to get out of the plant he turned, looked at me, and with a determined face said "No!". We had a battle of wills after that you can say!I thought I had more time before putting up with that. *tear*

On to the New Year!

I hadn't put a pix of Hunter up in his wagon yet. Cute huh? He love strolling around in that thing. Course he hasn't figured out that he shouldn't crawl out of it yet, so it is a toy that still needs very close supervision. By the way watch out for the handle. : )
Yesterday we headed over to My grandparents to finish off Christmas 2008 and prepare for the new year. My grandparents always have a train around the Christmas tree. I am thinking I need to start that tradition. Hunter was amazed by the train and even found some buttons that his cousins were unaware that existed.

His Great Grampa bought his Gramma a Dancing frog. Hunter thought it was amazing.

This was the first time Hunter got to see his cousins. They sure became quick friends.
They strolled all over the house.

They even climbed a few stairs.
My Grampa played his clarinet for everyone.

I think Hunter was his biggest fan.
I ended up getting horribly sick during gift opening, so none of those pictures turned out. I am a little bummed about that. What a way to end Christmas! Anyways, lets just say Santa really likes Hunter. Here is a pix of his three step trike that he got. Hunter thinks it is the neatest thing ever and the buckle even makes it really safe for him. I guess Tony and I need to go out and get him a helmet soon.
Well I hope you all have a happy new year!
I am trying to get ready for Hunter to turn one. I need some waterproof mascara I think!

Random Moments!

Here are a few moments that happened over the past week that I want to make sure to remember. The day after we had Christmas with My Dad's side of the Family Hunter was playing with his Grampa Brown and found a chest hair! He plucked it and then tried to look on his chest to try to find the same thing. He kept going back and forth trying to figure out why Grampa had 'em and he didn't. The rest of the night he kept tugging on his own shirt trying to see if he was just missing them. So cute. Oh also later that night he started playing on his toy laptop and actually pretending to type. It was hilarious. I know he watches Tony and me type all the type I just didn't realize that he was aware enough of what we were doing to try to mimic it! Wow kids are so much smarter than I realized. Also on Christmas morning Hunter learned to say a new word. "NO!" He would go up to something that he wasn't supposed to mess with it. Stand next to it and go "no...no..no." So he does hear us! He just chooses to ignore us!

Merry Christmas 2008!

I am having a blast this year on Hunter's First Christmas! Christmas with my Dad and his family was wonderful. Then Christmas Eve Hunter, Tony, and I delivered packages to a family and got to see their excitement. It was definitely a true Christmas Miracle. Our church sent out an email about a family who had nothing and was sleeping on the floor. I sent the email out to work and we had a huge response. By Christmas Eve the family had beds, furniture, Kitchen utensils, a Christmas tree with an abundance of decorations and a mound of present under the tree. The little five year old girl was beside herself with excitement! What a special gift. The mother kept saying how she loved Kansas and what a true Christmas Miracle. Following delivering presents we came home and I let Hunter and Tony open their Christmas eve presents. Christmas PJ's. Yes I am a nerd, but I thought it would be a cute and fun tradition. Hunter got two cute sleepers from Carter's and Tony got a Grinch set. Then Hunter and I slept on the couch to wait for Santa. Okay actually I fell asleep while Anton was watching a football game. Same thing right.
0445 Christmas Morning Hunter was ready to go. I had crawled in bed by then and just took Hunter with me. Hunter was poking his Daddie's face trying to wake him up. Anton thought he had a couple of Christmas's to go before that. lol.

Course Hunter didn't understand that it was Christmas so he went into his room to start playing with his blocks.

Hey buddy come check out what is in the other room!
First toy of Christmas Morning was a Ball! Hunter has been playing with the thing wrapped for about a month now. Time to get that baby out! My goodness was he excited. I didn't think we could get his attention on another present. Course that ended up being the trend. With each toy he would get so excited and would want to play with it we could barely get him to open the next present. Then the next present would come along and that was the coolest thing in the world. What fun! I didn't expect him to get excited about the toys and him to be more interested in the paper!
Santa brought him a ball, some toy trucks, a fire engine, a leap frog magnetic toy for the fridge, a dump truck with blocks, and a busy zoo block.
Hunter loved the truck horn on his new fire engine!

He also got busy with his Busy Zoo. It was too Funny watching him. He would play with one toy for about ten minutes and then crawl to the next. He couldn't decide with all these options. He has never had so many toys before! Before even stockings were done Tony had crawled back into bed. An two hour nap later we opened stocking.

Before going to Anton's mom side of the family Christmas we stopped by his parents for a little while. Hunter got a sweet bulldozer from his Aunt Terra and a John Deer wagon from his grandparents.
Then Tony found something peculiar in his stocking. : )
At his greats Hunter had a blast socializing with his cousins!
Hunter and Blair had lots of floor time.
Hunter loved getting into Sophia's space.
Taylor and Hunter got along great.
Cousin Amy has the touch.
Then it came for the money bag time. Basically you get one chance to take a handful out of the bag to see how much you can get. Hunter held his own. Course Tony beat everyone again like he does almost every year. One handful of Change he got 44.70. I only got 16.50. I guess you know what they say about big hands. More change out of the money bag. Tony's a nice daddie and gives it all to Hunter. I guess I got to be a nice mommie to then. Then we pretty Much went home and crashed! What a Christmas week. We have one Christmas left on Saturday with my other Grandparents. Then we will move from Christmas week to Bday month. Three bdays one month and two are on the same day.
Happy Holidays everyone! The only thing that could have made it better if my brother is here. Hopefully he has a Merry Christmas wherever he is.

A merry first Christmas!

This Sunday we kicked of this Christmas with a wonderful gathering of with My family. My lovely Husband made a fantastic meal as you can see in the pictures food covered our kitchen. There was only six of us and we had enough food for thirty people! My dad came to town and my Grandparents came over. Hunter as always got into the food! That boy can sure throw down some grub! To my suprise he even got into the presents! At first the tissue paper was a distraction, but once he realized that there were prizes in the tissue paper he was game! He was on to his daddie to open his presents quick so he could get to playing. Tony and I got ton's of fantastic Watkin's products from my grandparents and My dad gave us a rock awesome digital picture frame. I am so excited! I take millions of pictures and never have the money to print them. What a perfect thing to do with my pix. He also got Hunter some sweet camo boots! Perfect for our little Hunter! Tis the Season to be Merry!

Christmas/11month pix!

I know it seems like last month pix were around the corner. He has gotten so big! I can't believe I have 11 sets of monthly bday pix. One more month to go. My heart breaks. I am going to have a hard time weening myself from monthly pix.
They are such a treat for me. Isn't he such a perfect Santa?!

At this photo shoot I understood why some parents dred picture taking. My son a well trained picture taker was all over the place. I would set him down to look at the pix and next thing I would know he would be hanging in a rack of clothes. What a naught santa. : )

When taking pix the photographer would have a bell for him to look at. Instead of looking at it he would crawl to get it. She would then hide it and he would still find it. Too smart for his own good!

I love how he look like a lil man just hanging!
